TESTS
The Theory Test
The theory test is broken down into 2 sections
Section 1 Questions
You have 58 minutes to complete 50 questions which you must get 43 correct answers to pass. These questions are multliple choice with some requiring more than one answer, read all the questions carefully before answering.
Section 2 Hazard Perception
You have 15 minutes to view 14 video clips which has 15 developing hazards. Each correctly identified hazard has a value of up to 5 marks. You must score at least 44 out of a possible 75 to pass.
You must pass both section together to pass the theory test.
The Practical Test
The practical test is approximately 40 minutes long. To pass you need no more than 15 minor faults, more than 15 or any serious or dangerous faults will result in a fail. During the test you will be required to carry out a 10 minute independant drive and 1 of the 4 manoeuvre's. The Emergency stop does not count as a manoeuvre. 1 in 3 will carry out an emergency stop. The result of your test will be given in the car at the end of your test.
